Gota Maitreya

Gota Maitreya

Located in Alto Paraiso, Brazil, Gota Maitreya sits on one of the world's largest concentrations of quartz, with crystal bedrock interwoven with rivers and hosting an abundance of stunning waterfalls.

The design brief prioritised bioenergetics and a design methodology based on nature’s principals in order to optimise the high energetics of Alto Paraiso for the wellbeing of its users.

The client was owner to two adjacent sites. The first of which had existing accomodation and a meditation dome. She was looking to create a new and separate project on her second site.

Our feasibility studies proposed a “knocking down of walls” between the two sites instead in order to create a central focal point and garden with buildings along the perimeter. Combining the sites also for allowed shared amenities and reduced waste.
