Thank you for reading the instructions below. Please read all steps before you begin uploading your files.
The process will involve renaming the files you are going to send, uploading and sending them via the Ligmincha Wisdom Upload Form and finally you will be asked to send an accompanying email with some detailed information about the files you have sent.
Step 1: Renaming Files
Before uploading, please update filenames in English (on your own device) using the following format:
YYYY-MM-DD_Event Name_Location of Event_Part X
Example:
Part 1 of a three-part recording from a Five Elements Retreat recorded on October 2, 2023:
2023-10-02_Five Elements Retreat_Serenity Ridge_Part 1
If you have a practice guided by someone other than the main teacher please include their name at the end of the filename
Example:
2023-10-02_Five Elements Retreat_Serenity Ridge_Part 1_Marcy
If the event has a very long name (and won’t fit in the filename), please shorten to just the first part of the event name and include the full name in the description section below.
Step 2: Providing Basic Information about the Files you are Uploading
Once you have renamed your files, go to the Ligmincha Wisdom Upload Form. This is where you will upload your files.
In the box called “file information” please provide the following information about the files you are uploading:
The name of the event they are from
The country in which the event took place
The start date of the event
Example :
Five Elements Retreat, USA, 2023-10-02
Note: there is a character limit (255) so please provide this basic information only
If Uploading Multiple Files
You may upload multiple files but please use a separate form for each different event.
Please upload multiple files only if they are from the same event.
Examples:
If you have six recordings from a Five Elements Retreat, upload all 6 files together in one Ligmincha Wisdom Upload Form.
If you also have three recordings from a Dream Yoga Retreat, upload those using a separate Ligmincha Wisdom Upload Form.
Step 3: Uploading and Sending your Files
After you have entered the requested information into the File Information box, click “select files” in the “Upload Files” box at the bottom of the Ligmincha Wisdom Upload Form.
This will open a window on your computer, from which you will need to select the file(s) you wish to upload and send.
To add multiple files, you can either select several at once or add one at a time by clicking the “add another file” button, which will appear underneath the Upload Files box, each time you add a file.
When you have added all the files you wish to send, click the “submit” button.
If you encounter any issue with file size limits on Box please transfer your files using transfernow.net
Step 4: Providing detailed information about the files you are uploading
Once you have uploaded and submitted your files, we request that you provide the following information about the files you have uploaded. You can send this information by email to ligmincha.projects@gmail.com or alternatively Mai-Linh can provide a spreadsheet to fill in.
1. Full Name of event (e.g. Five Elements)
2. Type of event (e.g. course, retreat, public talk)
3. Name(s) of teacher(s)
4. Name(s) of translator(s), if any
5. Date (or dates) of recording(s) in the format YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 2023-10-31)
6. Location of event, including venue name, city, and country (e.g. Serenity Ridge, Virginia, USA or Online)
7. Whether teaching/event was part of a longer-term series (some texts are taught over the course of several years)
8. Total number of recordings that make up the complete event (e.g. if a three-day retreat has six recordings, write 6)
9. i) Are you uploading all recordings that were made at this event? Answer Yes or No
ii) If you answered no, which parts are you uploading (e.g. parts 1,2&3 of 6 or parts 1-18 of 20)
10. Any other comments about the event that might be helpful or interesting to know (e.g highlights, context or anything else you would like to bring to our attention)
The email subject should match the information you provided on the Ligmincha Wisdom Upload Form so we can easily match your email to the files you have sent.
Example :
Subject: Five Elements Retreat, USA, 2023-10-02
If you are filling out multiple forms (for multiple events), please send a new email to accompany each Ligmincha upload form.
